Plan By now, you may have heard about the recent PHP security vulnerabilities affecting PHP-based websites and applications. We are actively addressing these issues and reviewing the PHP versions currently in use across our hosting environment.

Our Current Security Measures

Our servers use CloudLinux Manager and Imunify360 to help protect and secure the hosting environment. These systems provide multiple layers of protection, including a Web Application Firewall (WAF), ModSecurity and CageFS, which help defend against malicious activity and isolate individual hosting accounts.

We became aware of the latest PHP security vulnerabilities late Thursday 22nd August 2026 and have been applying available security patches as soon as they have been released. Our server technicians are continuing to monitor security advisories and updates to identify and apply relevant patches as they become available.

Reviewing and Upgrading Older PHP Versions

We are developing a plan to upgrade websites running older PHP versions to PHP 8.2 or higher, where compatible. This will help improve security, maintain software support and reduce exposure to vulnerabilities associated with outdated PHP versions.

Customers with websites running older (V5 to V7) PHP versions will receive support tickets outlining the recommended upgrade options and associated quotes. Depending on each website's current configuration and compatibility, the recommended work may involve:

Migrating the website to a newer, supported PHP version.
Updating website code or addressing compatibility issues.

WOWProV3 is currently running on Latest PHP Version 8.5

You may see deprecation warnings, these are tmp messages and will clear themselves or you can press Ctrl+F5 to clear them.

Removal/Disable dates of older PHP version from FatGalah's servers

  • ALL PHP 5 versions - Disabled/Removed
  • PHP 7.0 - Dec 2026
  • PHP 7.1 - Dec 2026
  • PHP 7.2 - Disabled/Removed
  • PHP 7.3 - Dec 2026
  • PHP 7.4 - Dec 2026

Next Steps

Once our assessment and planning are complete, we will issue the relevant support tickets and quotes so that the required work can be discussed, approved and scheduled.
In the meantime, we will continue monitoring the situation, applying available security updates and taking appropriate action as further patches and recommendations are released.
Our priority is to maintain a secure hosting environment while ensuring that website upgrades are carefully assessed for compatibility and reliability before implementation.
