Using Windows Quick Assist

If you are wanting to connect to a remote PC as a one of, you can use Quick Assist. This will work in windows 10,11

  1. Person Assisting: Generate a Security Code:
    1. Press the Windows Key, type Quick Assist, and open the app.
    2. Click the Help someone button (or sign in with your Microsoft account if prompted).
    3. Quick Assist will display a 6-digit security code along with a countdown timer (usually 10 minutes).
    4. Send this 6-digit code to the remote person via phone, chat, or email.
  2. Remote Person: Enter the Security Code:
    1. Press the Windows Key, type Quick Assist, and open the app.
    2. In the Code from assistant field, enter the 6-digit code provided to you.
    3. Click Submit.
  3. Person Assisting: Select Access Level:
    1. On your screen, select your desired access mode:
      1. Take full control: Allows you to move the mouse, type, and control the PC.
      2. View screen: Allows you to see their display without controlling anything.
    2. Click Continue.
  4. Remote Person: Approve the Connection:
    1. A prompt will appear displaying the assistant's name and email address.
    2. Click Allow to share your screen and begin the session.
