Using Windows Quick Assist
If you are wanting to connect to a remote PC as a one of, you can use Quick Assist. This will work in windows 10,11
- Person Assisting: Generate a Security Code:
- Press the Windows Key, type Quick Assist, and open the app.
- Click the Help someone button (or sign in with your Microsoft account if prompted).
- Quick Assist will display a 6-digit security code along with a countdown timer (usually 10 minutes).
- Send this 6-digit code to the remote person via phone, chat, or email.
- Remote Person: Enter the Security Code:
- Press the Windows Key, type Quick Assist, and open the app.
- In the Code from assistant field, enter the 6-digit code provided to you.
- Click Submit.
- Person Assisting: Select Access Level:
- On your screen, select your desired access mode:
- Take full control: Allows you to move the mouse, type, and control the PC.
- View screen: Allows you to see their display without controlling anything.
- Click Continue.
- On your screen, select your desired access mode:
- Remote Person: Approve the Connection:
- A prompt will appear displaying the assistant's name and email address.
- Click Allow to share your screen and begin the session.
