Custom Product Fields / Group

Custom fields can be set either at the product level or the category level:
  • If a custom field is set for a product, it will override any custom field set at the category level.
  • If a custom field is set for a category, it will apply to all products within that category, unless a specific product has its own custom field, in which case the product setting takes precedence.


NOTE: If set on a product, it will ignore the category setting


Where to Set Up Product Custom Fields

  1. Open the Group you want to add the custom product fields to
  2. Navigate to: Settings → Custom ProductOrder Fields → Add Field
  3. Field Key
    • Name:
      Name of the custom field. This will be what shows in the orders throughout the system
    • Type:
      At the moment, there is only 1 type (Text)
    • Sort:
      What order to display in
    • Mandatory
    • Delete
  4. Once added, click on Save at the bottom of the screen 



How to set for a Category

  1. Navigate to: Categories → select a category → Product Custom Field


How to set for a Product

  1. Navigate to: Products → select a Product → Custom Fields
